MR60 intermittent failures
I've been having intermittent failures with my new router as show in the following log file. Is this normal? If not, what can I do to correct it.?

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
1. what firmware are you on?
2. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
3. how often is it happening?
4. does it happen to just wired devices or do wired drop as well?
5. what fixes the issue?

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
1. I have the current firmware, updated when the product was installed about two weeks ago. The modem firmware is V1.01.14
2. It's connected to the Netgear DOCSIS 3.0 16 DS 4 US modem
3. It occurs as often as shown in the log file I sent
4. I don't have any wired devices.
5. It recovers by itself.
In addition to this question, I get what appears to be halts for buffering near the beginning of most programs. I say "appears to be buffering because I have no way to know it that's actually what it is.

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
so the goal is to figure out where exactly the issue is coming from.
If you have no wired devices and your getting a lan fail notice, the only thing connected with ethernet is the modem.
so is the error coming from the modem or the router side.
Do you have a screen snip of the modems cable connection page and event logs?
have you replaced the cable between modem/router?

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
I think this is what you want, and no, I haven't replaced any cables. CORRECTIOIN: I have my deskto PC connected to the router with an ethernet cable.

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
you've got quite few errors in your line. We're missing the logs and the upstream info but right now its looking like a line issue.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISP’s charge if the wiring issue is in the home. So this helps prevent this.

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
Thanks very much for your help. I moved the modem and router to the point at which the Internet cable enters the house, I now have zero errors on either log.
Thanks again.

Re: MR60 intermittent failures
glad that cleared it up!
If it stays clear, you might mark it as solved so others aren't trying to "fix' the issue as well as others might see what you did to resolve it.
