AC750 DUAL BAND WIFI RANGE EXTENDER - no 5G connectivity from Router
I recently purchased an EX3110 WiFi range extender, set up really easy and have extended both my 2,4G & 5G WiFi networks from the extender and can connect to both SSID’s with no prob, performance is good/stable, but when you view the graphic on the smart set up (see attached pic) it shows the 2.4G band from the router to the extender is active, but not the 5G band. My router is dual band and I have devices connected to the 5G Band (Google Chrome) direct to the router and they are working fine, so I know the routers 5G band is broadcasting and functioning correctly, but it does not appear to link up with the WiFi extender ... I have tried Fast Lane to see if I can force the 5G to connect, but nothing, so just using extender in ‘Basic Mode’ at the moment... any clues ??

It looks like the 5 Ghz connection to the router isn't configured (though I don't own this extender, and could be wrong on that).

Re: AC750 DUAL BAND WIFI RANGE EXTENDER - no 5G connectivity from Router
The 5G is definitely configured on the router as I have active devices connected to it and working fine, so I know the 5G SSID is broadcasting. When you use SMART SET UP on the WiFi extender it finds the 5G SSID no problem and when the set up option prompts you to which WiFi channels to want to connect to the extender, you can readily select (tick box) both the 2.4 and 5G Channels and the required SSID’s from my router are visible in the set up, which can also readily select. As you continue through the set up, it allows you to select both bands to extend from the extender to your end user devices, BUT, when it loads the configuration you’ve inputted the 2.4G from the router is shown as active and connected, with a signal level and speed, but the 5G from the router is showing on SMART SET UP as disconnected and inactive, despite the set up process and requested configuration, both finding the relevant SSID and allowing you to select it. So what I finish up with is only the 2.4G Channel from router to extender and the 2.4 and 5G channels from the extender to my end devices, so not getting full 5G bandwidth from Router to End devices ... hope that makes sense.

Re: AC750 DUAL BAND WIFI RANGE EXTENDER - no 5G connectivity from Router
FastLane will dedicate one radio for the client-extender link, and the second radio to the extender->router link. I suspect that's not what you want. Though if you use FastLane and select 5G for the extender->router link, you'd certainly be able to confirm whether that link is working or not. You'd get no internet connection at all.
If the 2G and 5G networks in the router are using the same SSID, you might try changng the 5G network name as a test, and see if that changes the symptoms. Also check that you can make a solid 5G connection to the router from another device at the extender's location.
