Can a device get signal from two (2) 6200 extenders

We have a situation where the signal is blocked by steel firepaces, etc.  The router (6250) is in my lower level office which has one network name (SSID).  There is a 6200 extender in the living room which adds two additional SSID's - 5ex and 2ex.   Devices (laptops, tablets) in the bedroom areas must connect to the lower office signal - when they are taken to the living area, they lose the signal (at least quality is degraded).

If I add a second 6200 to main floor (it is actually my wife's office), can that extender use the same SSID's as the existing extender?  If so, would her laptop, etc. be able to transfer from one extender to the other when she takes in range of the existing extender?  If not how else could the reception be improved for mobile devices?

The arrangement of your house is not very clear.  In any case, if you are hoping to wirelessly connect one extender to another extender, then that is generally not recommended due to poor performance.

OTOH, you should be able to wirelessly connect a second extender to your 6250.  The second extender can broadcast the same SSIDs as the first.  You can even set up both extenders to broadcast the same SSIDs as the 6250.  If you can, use different Wi-Fi channels on the 6250 and both extenders to maximize performance.

Thank you!  I plan to wirelessly connect both extenders to the 6250.  I'd prefer they all used the same SSID - I did not know that was possible.  Will look into that.
