The instructions for installing upgraded firmware make no sense.

We downloaded it to the desktop ... but there's no way to install it.

The Netgear website says we can't upgrade wirelessly, but only with an ethernet cable.

The cable modem, and router, are on the 1st floor. The desktop & booster are on the 2nd floor.

The booster is at the back of the building, above the router, and the desktop is 25+ ft away towards the front.

We don't have an ethernet cable that long.

If we plug the booster into an outlet closer to the desktop, we might not have a connection!

In addition, this whole thing has stunk from the get-go.

After spending Hours trying to get the booster configured to the router, it finally seemed to work.

Speeds were significantly improved, but now, the very next day, they Stink!

One day later, and it's Worse than before we used the booster!!

Download speeds are 31ms ping, 4.83 mbps download, and 4.30 mbps upload!

The only change to the computer was running the utility program to repair disk permissions.

What the heck is going on? We're ready to take a hammer to the booster and start from scratch.
