Re: Can´t connect to the new _EXT-network?
sorry to jump in here, but at my wits end! bot range ext'r, installed 2-3 times but it never worked / helped. at TimeWarner suggestion, after their new modem installed, installed again. all well w installation, and connected better than before. my cable modem is on 2nd floor, speedtests at 17Mbps, nice and fast for what we do. installed ext'r on first floor where 4 laptops run wirelessly at 1-3 Mbps if at all. w EXT installed, I'm now consistently at 3-4 Mbps not the 15-17 I hoped for. ideas? another TWC lie?

Re: Can´t connect to the new _EXT-network?
Hello dr2828
Anytime you use a wireless extender the speed is cut in half so you will never get 15-17 with it being a wireless extender but if the conditions are right 6-8 mbps is what you would be getting. You may want to try and adjust the wireless channel on the extender to improve the quality or move the extender to see if you get a better signal.
