Changing from WPS setup to Nighthawk setup.ac1750 Dual Band WiFi Mesh Extender
I setup this new extender using WPS not knowing that by doing it thay way it left my router open to being hacked. I want to set up the extender using the app. but I can't into the extender. How do I do this? obviously I'm not very tech savvy.

Factory reset it. Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
That'll get you back to factory where you can follow the installation assistant guide from the manual.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.
