Connection issue with EX6150v2 range extender
I am actually having 2 separate issues but I believe they are connected. I use a Netgear EX6150v2 range extender in my home. Sometime ago an issue arose where even when I turn it on, it will connect to my home network but it won't actually work as intended until I open the Nighthawk app on my phone and let that connect to my router. It's very annoying as, for one reason or another, I turn my range extender off most nights before I go to bed. The other issue I'm having is now I can't even log into my extender on the app. My regular router is no problem but when I try to switch over to that extender, I put my credentials in and I get this an error that reads "Logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device". I have rebooted, reinstalled, wiped caches on the app, even factory reset the extender and nothing seems to have fixed it.
If anyone can help with these issues it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What happens when you try? Any useful error messages?

There's a problem with the latest version of the Nighthawk app. (I assume that this is what you are using.) Lots of discussions around here with the same symptoms.
Here's one:
Logon Timed Out, Please Try Again. If issue is per... - NETGEAR Communities
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

Re: Connection issue with EX6150v2 range extender
what router is the extender connected to?
what firmware is on the extender?
Did you set up the extender using wps or using the installation assistant?

No, no useful message. I just get the error message ""Logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device".
I am using the nighthawk app, yes.

Re: Connection issue with EX6150v2 range extender
The extender is connected to a Nighhawk R7000 router.
I'm not sure of the extenders firmware version since I can't get into it on the app.
And I set it up using WSP but I did that well over a year ago and nothing else has changed. It just started doing all this out of nowhere.

That error is all over the place following a botched update to the Nighthawk app.
Try using the browser graphical user interface (GUI) or some other way to get in.
The Nighthawk app is frustrating many different operations at the moment.

Re: Connection issue with EX6150v2 range extender
Hello Did you ever find out what the issue was with the extender or app as I have been having the exact same issue mine.
