DG834G and WG602
Okay the issue: I have the 835Gv4 setup as a normal wireless router in WPA. All good an devices within range access and connect to the internet.
I also have the WG602v4 AP which I want to use as a repeater to extend the range of the 835.
This is what I have done so far:
settings on 834 - ssid set
channel 11 set
(all good and access by devices and connecting to the www)
now where it gets screwed up
WDS mode - enabled wireless bridging and repeating - checked
repeater with wireless client association - checked
local mac address - as per 835
remote mac address - as per 602
apply!
Setting on the 602
ssid - set the same as 834
channel 11 - set
wireless bridge - repeater with wireless client association - set with mac address of 834
security diabled - for the minute!
apply!
NOTHING - NO WWW??????
All devices see both AP's but nothing will connect to them. I have followed the direction as per netgear and several forums but this is not working for me.
The otherthing, to put all this back I have to reset the 834 and setup as an 'out the box' router as none of my devices connect to it.
Its driving me nutts!!!
I have used Linux, Mac and PC to see if it was device specific but no.
Any help PLEASE!!!!!!

- geordie162AspirantI tried without any security and still nothing?
I have to use WPA as WEP doesnt allow the Apple products to connect to the 834.
Before anyone mentions I have also read this thread:

It appears someone got it working but did not come back and explain how:confused: - jmizoguchiVirtuosoyou can NOT use WPA on repeating with it
