DGN2000 Power problem

Hi

This doesn't happen all the time, but recently, when I press the "power" button at the back of my DGN2000 router, it starts to light up (power light) waits 3 seconds and then just powers off.

I have to press the rear power button 2 or 3 times to get it to "load".

Once it is powered up & connected, there is never an issue.

A friend said that it is likely to be the capacitor failing, and I might as well get a newer, better Netgear router.

Is he right and what should I go for? I need a huge range to connect top of house to bottom of house (3 storys). And speed too, if possible.

If I have to go for a new router, should I go for the expensive ones (£120 > £200) or will a £80 > £150) router be ok?

Thanks for any advice given.

Ian
