EX7000 WiFi speeds have slowed WAY down... How do I get my speed back?

I have a factory AT&T modem/router combo that does not have great range so I purchased the EX7000. I have it setup as an extender and when I first set it all up everything was working great. I am paying for 18MB at the wall but would see speeds of 21 and 22 through the factory router and even over the wifi of the extender.

In the last week or so I have noticed that the wifi while using my phone is all but non existent. Using Speedtest I am seeing speeds of .1 and .2 MB from the extender. Thinking it was the phone I went through all of those diagnostics including restoring the phone. Nothing seemed to work.

Moved on on to the extender... I still get speed when using the factory wifi but only when the phone is  really close to the router. So I ruled out the phone.

I have checked the the firmware and it says it's up to date. Pressed the reset button on the back of the extender. Turned the power off. Unplugged the extender. Reset the att router. Unplugged the att router. Wiped and re-setup the extender. Tried fastlane combinations. moved the extender closer to the att router.

Nothing seems to to work to bring the speed back. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I will try them and comment back if the speed has returned or not.

Hello tbradley87

Have you tried changing the wireless channel on the ATT router?

Darren,

I did some reading on channels and bandwith and I think I got it working again.

I moved my 2.4 network to channel 6, and I went with a slightly lower bandwith on my 5 gig network.

We only get 18mb at the wall so I do not need the 600/900 that the extender is capable of.  The signal transfer seems to be working better and I am back to getting 22mb on my speedtests through the extender.

Thanks for the tip!
