Extending Range of XR500

Question

I have an EERO Mesh Network System that I would like to setup with my Nighthawk XR500. I'm sure it's not as simple as just plugging the system directly into the router. The router is currently connected to my ISP's modem for internet access. How would I configure the XR500 to add the range extender to my home? I have 3000 sqft home and the router has to be in the basement unfortuantely and there is no way of moving it. Appreciate all suggestions and help in this matter.

Are you wanting to go:modem----XR500----EeroIf so, the eero devices need to be in bridge/ap modehttps://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/207621056-How-do-I-set-up-my-eero-if-I-want-to-keep-my-existing-router-&nbsp;If you're wanting to go modem----eero-----XR500then you'd want the xr500 in access point mode. You'd loose most of the benefits of the xr500 but be able to use the wifi and ethernet ports.&nbsp;
