Extending Wifi Range?
Can someone recommend something to get a better wifi connection? Router is in the basement and wifi works decent everywhere but the kitchen on the far end of the house. Are powerline wifi extenders/antenna wifi extenders any good? I have a couple old routers that I heard you can setup to run as "repeaters" but I'm not sure how to do that? Do I need to run "internet cable" from current router to secondary router? I have multiple "cable lines" throughout the upstairs. Is it as simple as plugging in the old router and using the "cable line" Or would this create two wifi networks?

You've got multiple options. If you've already got ethernet wires ran throughout the house you can add a router (in access point mode) at the far end. Or you can get a wireless extender and run it in wireless extender mode or access point mode. Or you can go a powerline device with wireless. Any of those would work.
if you've already got an old router, I'd hardwire it in and put in in Access Point mode. this leaves only 1 device acting as a router. having more than 1 device running in router mode would put you in a double nat and cause many different types of issues.
