FIRMWARE UPGRADE FOR EX3700

So I am unable to upgrade my extender.  The extender network does not display as an available nextwork to connect to.  Only the extender network pops up.   I tried to connect with an ethernet cord but its not working out.  I have upgraded in the past but for the life of me I cannot figure out why it will not connect.  Any advice??

    is it connected in extender mode to the router? 

    If so, look up its ip address in your routers attached devices page (or equivelent) and use that ip address to connect to it.
