Help getting IP address on bricked X6S EX8000 range extender
I have a Nighthawk X6S AC3000 wifi range extender (EX8000). During firmware update, there was an issue and now it won't work. Pressing the reset button doesn't work. Have a blinking red power light on the back. I want to attempt a manual firmware update via tftp but I need the IP address for that. It is not stated in the manual and I have no way to access the router to get it. Prior to the issue, when I logged into the device's web address, it changed to 192.168.1.30. I don't know if that is it or it constantly changes.
Any suggestions??

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client on an extender. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
