How do I use my Readyshare USB on my wndr3400

Never really used my usb port on my WNDR3400 but now trying to use it to put a storage unit on it to view movies on my other computers and tvs but don't know why it is not showing up on my other computers or tvs. is there something I need to do in order to get it to work?
