Mesh w/R8000P and EX8000

I have never made firmware changes, aside from the automatic upgrades. Might be worth a try.
I am not sure how to answer the Verizon question. I can tell you that when it was installed, I bought their router/modem/wifi tower from Actiontec I believe. And when I had that, there were issues with double NATing. That is why I pulled it out of the solution, once they told me I did not need it. So it leads me to think the ONT is not the problem.
The ont might not be the problem. But without knowing which it is, its tough to say. Some do have some integrated router functions.
