NETGEAR DG834GT Dynamic DNS
I current ISP is Sky who issue a dynamic external IP address.
I would like to be able to access the router configuration from anywhere (remote management). I can do this if I know the current external IP address but If I am not at home, the external IP address is likely to have changed.
Would I be right in thinking that if I set up the Dynamic DNS in the router configuration I would be able to access the router from anywhere external to my LAN regardless of the External IP change and even if there are no PC's currently connecting to the router?

- that is dynamic DNS for...
although if sky changes a IP quite often then dynamic DNS may not updates by the router fast enough . if you find that is case you have to order static IP pkg with sky. - Thanks. I think we are changing providers soon but wil give it a go
- either way dynamic dns does not care the provider...
