Newbie question BEFORE I purchase re wiring

Netgear CM 1000 modem, X10 Nighthawk router, x6s extender which I want to use in access mode with cat 6a, Netgear Prosafe JGS524E switch.  My question is about the correct wiring and wonder if I have the right idea, so here goes: (don't LAUGH!)

Internet to my modem

Modem to my router

Cat6a from an upstairs room to the back of my patch panel in structured wiring box (downstairs). (Extender connects in the room to the cat6

No particular patch panel port (on the front) goes to any port on the prosafe switch.

Router connects to any port on the prosafe switch.

Is this the correct wiring configuration  for the various components?

Thanks for not laughing, and thanks for your help!
