Out of Range. Need help.

I have a NetGear D6000 connected to Broadband.  Have not been able to upgrade to fast broadband due to home location but my connection works fine for home.  However, my son is moving to a studio out the back garden and I need to boost wifi access. He is  keen gamer.  Please can someone suggest an option that I can get organised quickly?  I am not a techncial person so small words would be good...

    If you can not run a hardline out to him you may want to look at our Orbi router it will provide strong wifi with out speed loss that extenders have.
