Recent firmware Update messed up my Extender
- Hardware Version: EX7000
- Firmware Version: V1.0.1.78_1.0.140
This update has caused issues with my extender. Before this update never had any problems. Now getting devices disconnected, searching for ip address, intermittent operation. Continually have to restart the extender to get stable operation.
This is really annoying. When a vendor updates firmware it should be checked, re-checked. I was considering using Netgear Routers for one of my consulting projects, but stuff like this makes me wonder about their abilities to manage their products.
And when I tried to contact them to advise them, I have no options for support, even when it is their issue. My time for their support has expired!
Netgear either fix your fimrware, or give customers the option to roll back their devices to firmware that works with issues.

I have download the previous version of firmware.
The new version is causing all kinds of issues with the extender.
Will installing the previous version cause me any issues????
Thanks
- DyrosAspirantMessed up mine as well months back. My security cams kept getting dropped along with my laptop sitting practically right next to the 7000. Reverted to firmware V1.0.0.66_1.0.126 which you can download from Netgear. Months ago I did this, not a single problem since.
