Set up NETGEAR WiFi range extender to use the same wireless network name (SSID) as my router
I have a Netgear EX6100v2 (AC750) Wi-Fi Range Extender. I have a lot of devices that are using the SSID as on my Frontier ARRIS NVG468MQ Gateway and I want to extend the Wi-Fi coverage using the Range Extender but use the same SSID so I don't have to reconfigure all my devices. How can I set up the range extender to use the same wireless network name (SSID) as my router without any network issues?

Re: Set up NETGEAR WiFi range extender to use the same wireless network name (SSID) as my router
What firmware is on the extender?
The EX6100v2 is a mesh extender. so if setup using wps or using the default settings from the installation assistant, it'll seutp in mesh mode with the same ssid as the router.

Re: Set up NETGEAR WiFi range extender to use the same wireless network name (SSID) as my router
Great, thanks for the response. When setting up the extender in AP mode it created the SSID with an 'EXT' on the end of it. So I just renamed the SSID on my Extender the same as on my router and it seems to work fine so far.
