Gone through the setup a couple times and all appropriate lights are green on the extender however the extender (wifi name_ext) does not show up on my mobile device as an available network. Any suggestions?

If you set it up using WPS, you wireless name for the extender will be the exact same as the router. So you won't see a seperate network using the standard scanning that windows/mac/android uses.

Re: Trying to use a AC1900 WIFI Mesh Extender- Model EX6400v2
If you set it up using wps or using the default setup using the installation, it installs using "mesh". Its the "one ssid" function that uses the same ssid as the router and lets devices roam between the 2. You won't see a seperate ssid unless you go in and disable "one ssid" which is half the function of a mesh extender.

Thanks for your reply. We're not tech savvy enough to fully understand your answer. Are you saying that the ay we set it up (wps- yes) won't show as a separate wifi source on my phone. This is what I currently see.
