Upgrading extender for Nighthawk X10 AD7200 or Go To Orbi?

I am looking at either updating my extender (AC2200 mesh) or changing systems.  I have the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 and have a few questions.  We are about to move into a 5,100sq ft home and have two teenagers. Everyone has multiple devices, streams videos, plays video games, etc.

Does this Nighthawk have WIFI 6? (looking at the EAX80 - do I need it)

What is the best extender?

Would you buy an extender (more cost effective) or move to the Orbi Wifi 6?

Based on the size of your home alone, I'd move to orbi. 

Extenders work great but when you need more than 1 (which you probably will) then the mesh system is a better option.
