WN3000RP lost connection to router

My WN3000RP range extender has worked great for a couple of years, but now for some reason it no longer connects to the router ( NexusLink 5631 ). It still puts out a strong signal but has no internet connection. Its name also changed. When it was working, it was identified as CCI wifi.ext. (CCI is my internet provider) Now it is identified as Netgear.ext. I have unplugged it several times but that does not seem to help. I can still access the internet by connecting to CCI wifi, but the signal is weak. (that's why I bought the extender in the first place) Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not too technically inclined, so try to keep explanations simple, like me.

I've decided that the problem is not with the extender. I went to Best Buy and purchased a new one. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with net gear tech support and still could not get it to connect. I'm gonna bite the bullet and get the Geek Squad to come out and troubleshoot..

Re: WN3000RP lost connection to router
Hello mkartye
I would try to factory reset the extender you will want to hold the reset button for 10 seconds then you can try the setup again.
