WNR1000v2-VC Nexus 7 and iPhone connection issues
Hi all, first time poster so bare with me. I just got this Nexus 7 on 11/29 and it's been working perfect. All of a sudden, only when I'm on my home Wifi it disconnects and reconnects frequently. I checked settings in my router and can't find anything wrong. My iPhone and family's laptops and other devices all work fine. Currently just my laptop iPhone and Nexus are connected as I'm writing this but I noticed when I'm viewing 'Attached Devices' instead of showing an IP address and a name for the Nexus, it shows '----' for the IP address and for the name of the device. And I noticed it does that with my iPhone as well but then if I refresh the page a few minutes later it shows the correct info. Meanwhile, my iPhone is able to get online without a problem throughout all of this so I don't know if this is the issue or not but it's the only anomaly I'm seeing.
Security wise on the router I'm using WPA2-PSK [AES] for security. I tried the Nexus on the router at work, using a Comcast Arris model wireless gateway and it seems to be fine there, only on my home Netgear router does it give me issues. It seems that the signal constantly gets stronger and weaker and eventually drops off all together and then comes back on and this happens repeatedly. It seems to happen especially as I'm using the device. If I just let it sit there the signal stays strong and doesn't change at all. So I'm posting this on the google support forums as well just in case someone there that knows about the Nexus from Google might be able to help, but owning a Netgear router I thought that I should post here as well. Thank you in advance for your help.

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoWNR1000 is not WN1000RP (extender) It is wireless N router
It belongs to http://forum1.netgear.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33 - james_ps_bakerAspirantI am experiencing the same issue with my WN1000RP extender that was described in the original post. The device that I cannot connect is a Nokia Lumina 920 (Windows Phone 8). The 'Network Devices' page shows the MAC address of the phone, with a Virtual MAC but no IP address. When I look at my DHCP table on my router I see the virtual MAC with a valid IP address.
I have no issues connecting to the extender with other devices, including a Nokia Lumina 900. I can also connect the 920 to the extender when the extender is not associated with a wireless network (and is not proxying DHCP requests). The 920 also connects directly to the wireless router with no problems.
I spoke to product support and they had nothing to offer other than doing a factory reset (which I had already done to no effect). I told them that I was going to have to post a negative review to Amazon & return the product but that did not motivate them to investigate further.
