I am experiencing the same issue with my WN1000RP extender that was described in the original post. The device that I cannot connect is a Nokia Lumina 920 (Windows Phone 8). The 'Network Devices' page shows the MAC address of the phone, with a Virtual MAC but no IP address. When I look at my DHCP table on my router I see the virtual MAC with a valid IP address.
I have no issues connecting to the extender with other devices, including a Nokia Lumina 900. I can also connect the 920 to the extender when the extender is not associated with a wireless network (and is not proxying DHCP requests). The 920 also connects directly to the wireless router with no problems.
I spoke to product support and they had nothing to offer other than doing a factory reset (which I had already done to no effect). I told them that I was going to have to post a negative review to Amazon & return the product but that did not motivate them to investigate further.
