Wifi extender eax20 - Extender not showing up under Wifis

I went to set up the device and the extender wifi showed up in the list of wifis and i successfuly connected. When I went to actaully set it up later the extender does not show up. I tried both wireless set up and with an ethernet cable.

Did you set it up as a mesh device? 

If you set it up using wps or using the onessid feature, it uses the same ssid as the primary router so devices won't "see" it but they'll roam between it and the router
