Wn802t v2 setting check and help
Hi having a problem setting up multipull APs and would like someone just to make sure every thing is ok.
Here's the set up:
1 btv3 homehub with wireless turned off
1 24 port, 1 16 port and 2 8 port gigabit netgear prosafe switchs
5 WN802T v2 APs
All network cabling cat6
I've got all 5 APs set between 192.168.1.201-205
All have the same SSID, channel and 64bit security with same pass code.
201 is set up as the master ( has the 4 other APs mac address)
And the other 4 all have 201's mac address, all APs names and address are correct .
Under authentication settings they are all 64bit wap ( same pass code as under the security settings)
How ever 3 things happen
1, I can't get a wifi signal from 1 of the APs, if I turn the master off I can get a signal,
2 when I turn one of the aps on it brings the whole wired and wireless network down ( stops Internet access)
3 on iPhones and iPads when taken out of standby an SSID which has a cross( looks like a church cross) where the space between the 2 words would appear, it will disappear after 1-2 mins and the correct SSID is available.
Hope this all helps and if any more info is needed just ask
Thanks Ben
