connect Netgear EX6400 extender to my Netgear R7000P router- how do devices get allocated to router

    Are you running it in mesh mode? 

    If so, its the devices (phone/tablet/pc/etc) own roaming protocol that switches devices between the router and the extender. Not the extender.

      Im not running in mesh mode or don't know how I would set that up with my R7000P router and EX6400 extebder. I jusy did basic connetion to router from instruction that came with extender.
