I swear using the Netgear ex7000 is the best ever for my current network needs.
Can the ex7000 be used as an extender or access point for my Night Owl NVR to extend the signal to my wireless cameras?

Does the nighthowl use its own network or simply connect to your wireless? The Night owl has its own network to communicate wireless between the NVR to the cameras
If it just connects to your wireless, you should be able to. It connects to my existing network to see the cameras remotely on a mobile device.
Not sure exactly what you're attempting to do. I would like to improve my Night Owl wireless signal to reach dead spots at the other end of my house.
If the nightowl sets up its own unique network, then you should contact nightowl to see what is compatible with their setup or if a standard extender works to expand it. If a standard one works, I'd ask them if there's anything special in the setup. If not, you should be able to use the ex7000.
