extender

Question

I have the basic extender I think mesh. I used to have it with wifi and the eithernet port running an external computer. I had to reset the extender and now it's wifi but the eithernet computer does not have networking. Do I need this setup as an access point or extender. Note this is not a computer with wifi its a greenhouse computer that requires Hard wired eithernet. Hay I was working until I reset it

EDIT:&nbsp; the entire house internet and greenhouse was out so its not the extender, it was everything!Thats common where I am so I THINK IM&nbsp; GOLDEN!!!!&nbsp;My installer got it up.&nbsp; It looked like it took a while to get the catch of IP addresses cleard off my greenhouse computer.&nbsp;

What actual extender do you have?&nbsp;What router is it connected to?&nbsp;When you set it up, did you use wps or the installation assistant?&nbsp;

extender&nbsp;Netgear EX6100V2 Range Extenderrouter asus&nbsp;&nbsp;RT-AX82UWPS in the extender.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Try factory resetting the extender again and rerun setup using the installation wizard and NOT wps.

Well darn up and down just the netgear extender we hard reset, we changed from extender to access point.&nbsp; we moved it out of the sun.Its always been in the sun on my old router.&nbsp; the new router we had to reset everything in the house and the extnder.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have log files, not sure how to read.&nbsp; Netflix is working.&nbsp;Is there a handy app that will tell me when the home router is down even for seconds?With netflix you dont know its off because buffering.&nbsp;I get a text message every few minutes that the greenhouse wired connection is gone.&nbsp;Do I need to make DCHP or something fancy to fix?&nbsp;
