pl1000-100pas

I have a shop 300" away from my router.  Best Buy guys said that Netgear EAX80-100NAS will work.  My grandkids tell me to use Netgear pawerline 1000, PL1000-100PAS because it uses the buildings wiring and the wiring is connected from the same panel in the house.

I'm an old guy and unsure it either of these will work.

Any suggestions?

300ft is quite a ways. That's the max range an ethernet cord can run.

I doubt that powerline would reach that far. And if it did, its speeds would be pretty poor would be my bet.

and 300ft is to far for standard wireless.

    Your best bet?

    • Burying a underground ethernet wire. If its 300ft, thats about the max you'd get
    • use a point to point system like netgear airbridge. It can span much further distances as long as theirs line of sight. There's cheaper versions than airbridge but thats what netgear has for point to point systems.
