Hi,
I've just bought an WN300RP WIFI extender, all installation seems to be ok, but I see that download and upload speed are extremly low with that component.
in test and optimal conditions (router, wifi extender and computer are in the same room , close to one another (les than 50 cm)),connecting directly to wifi router I have 30-40 Mb/s in download but only 0.5.Mb (max 1Mb) if I Pass through wn3000 extender. This is 50 times lower !
I Disconnect ipv6 on my router and in my computer, reset the wifi extender, reinstall the all, but I have always the same result.
Is this normal?
thanks for your responses.

hi,
i think I have an explanation, this is an encrypytion issue:
when I m in 'no security' or in 'WPA/WPA2 mixed' speed is good but when I'm in WPA2-AES speed is very low.
strange because firmware is up to date.
can someone confirm this non compatibility ?

Re: very low download/upload speed with wn3000rp extender
Placing the extender 18 inches from the router could be a problem. What does the installation manual state regarding placement?

Re: very low download/upload speed with wn3000rp extender
and there is nothing in the install doc regarding the minimal distance, but I suppose that 3 meters is a good distance
