Is this the right place to post an issue on my wnr2000?
I have N issues and not sure where to post.
My speed is usually around 270mbs through N and is what the wnr transmits. I bought new vizio TV's with internet. They are single channel TV's.
When I connect to say netflix or vudu the connection is slow for a moment. Then all of the sudden the wnr2000 changes to 130mbs. Then the tvs respond better to that speed and have good throughput.
But my laptops suffer. I can turn the tvs off and reboot the wnr2000 to get it back to 270mbs, but as soon as the tv streams it reverts back.
I am not that N savoy, such as 20/40mHz and such.
My whole house is N cards and nothing G. I am thinking it has to do with the tvs being single channel but am not sure.

- Well I tried everything. SSID on/off etc. I manage to get the hetwork back to transmitting 270mbps according to my dell draft n wirless card. Then when I connect to the internet with one of the vizio tv's it instantly reverts back to 130mbps according to my draft card site monitor.
The tvs seem to stram better at 130mbs but why is it pulling the network down? Its all N. No G/b at all.
I guess I may have to live with it for the sake of streaming.
Below is my speed.
The Tv's average 8-14 mbps when I test the network through them in the network setting menu. Thats at 130mbs
When at the 270mbs from the router the tvs crawl at 1-4 mbs.
I dont get it.
Mike NJ - OK all I found out is the vizio tv's are single band. That means 2.4ghz correct. But they should transmit on the 20/40hz right?
So my understanding is my router is 2.4ghz only. This is from doing research online. But why do the tv's only use the 20hz on the 2.4ghz and not impiment the 40hz to get me up to the 270mb/s?
This is the question to answer if anyone has knowledge as to why.
Mike NJ - not all wifi devices is capable of both 20/40Mhz so check that.
20Hz up to 145Mbps uses single channel , 40Hz is above 150MBps with dual channel bonding.
sometime issues are on 40Hz is when you have surrounding wireless makes the connectivity also weaken to get higher Mbps and single band can makes easier to stable the connection not all wifi devices is capable of both 20/40Mhz so check that.
When they talk dual band they mean 2.4/5 GHZ correct?
And 2.4 GHz can be 20MHz up to 130 or 20/40MHz 135 and up???
Where does 5GHZ fit in?
So I should check the vizio tv's to see if they are 20/40MHz???? It would seem they are only 20MHz and thats why its bringing my network down to 130MB/s from 270MB/s
The tv's say single channel so I assume its 2.4GHz only and not 5GHz right.
So the tv's can have an N card in it at 20MHz only?
