my XR500 router ramdomly drops connectivity to all my devices (both wired and wireless). The WAN signal is still present (LED stays white) while it happens. After 5 minutes router is back online. It has started to drop two times a day, randomly, since 3 days ago. Any ideas?
My router is currently on Firmware Version 2.3.2.114. I had it run on the latest netduma os 3 beta .120 when his started to happen and reverted it back to .114, still the problem occurs.

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
when things are happening to both wired/wireless, its always good to check the modem.
You could hook a computer/pc directly to the modem and use it for a day. If its dropping 2x a day, that'd tell you pretty quick if the modem is stable

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
It is conntected directly to the fiberLan, on the wall, there is only one FiberLa to plugin, where my ethernet cable in plugged in.

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
You mean in the LAN section:
Starting IP Adress: 192.168.1.2
Ending IP Adress: 192.168.1.254
?
Could you clearify it please?

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
I understand about the Starting Ip Adress, giving it to .50 instead of 2, but what about Ending Ip Adress which says .254?

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
I did it as you asked, I hope it will resolve the problem.

Yes change the starting IP to 192.168.1.50, then reserve IP addresses on the same page for your devices - give them IPs ending between .2 and .49

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
Now the bandwitdh is messed up now, I have allocated 90 % to my ps4, and within call of duty games' option, the bandwidth is set to 1Kbps. It seems that the QoS is confused by the reserved IP adresses.

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
The problem is solved when I restarted the router. One more thing, is there a log in my router where I can see if it has had internet drop outs?

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
That can't be correct if you're still able to play a game though, it must just be mis-reported by CoD. Can you run a speed test on the console? I suspect you'll still be seeing full speeds here.

Re: Internet drop out everyday on XR500
The download and upload speed on console is pretty good, must be the game that confuses me.
