Speed test results with EAX80 and XR450:

Bell curve seems better with the EA80 vs ASUS. Saw better speed results with EAX80.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Got a problem with the wifi settings, for 2.4Ghz. Stuck at 40Mhz, now and used to be able to change that to 20Mhz. Has that ability been taken out or is it that I can't find it, to change it to 20Mhz? The 5Ghz channels are at 80Mhz, as they were, before. Also, 2.4Ghz won't change to any different channel (1 through 11) and is showing it is on 4(6) at 40Mhz. Manual attempts to change the channel to a much less populated one, fail.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing regarding Mhz please and what happens with channel selection?

This is from an app on my phone, since there isn't any way to show what I'm talking about, from within the router firmware section for Wifi.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

2.4GHz is stuck on 40MHz as you've disabled co-existence, if you re-enable that then it will be able to switch itself when needed. What actually happens when you change to a new channel exactly?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Drops the 2.4Ghz speed to ~285mbps, from 600 and it, briefly, went to 20Mhz, on channel 4, then back to 40Mhz and on channel 6, again.

The 2.4Ghz bands are quite crowded, where I live and probably the same holds true, everywhere.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Just changed it to Auto channel select. Went to channel 8 at 20Mhz, 600mbps. Think I'll leave it as is and monitor it, periodically. Lots of devices operating on 2.4Ghz, in my apartment and I've been getting complaints about the lag, which is why I've been trying to figure things out.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Based on your picture that does seem to be true so in that sense I'm not sure there is much you can do to improve upon speeds there. If the 5GHz channel is quite uncongested then I'd suggest using that more often if you can.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

IF your in a wifi congested area, you might want to turn down the power output of the XR 2.4Ghz radios from 100% to 50%. Helps reduce some interferences with the XRs wfif and other wifi signals.

For the XR450, how close is it before becoming final? Is there another planned beta version or 3.0 going to be the next update? @Netduma-Fraser

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

There will be at least one more beta update to address the issues brought up so far. Then it depends on how stable that update appears to be.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Hello, I have the XR450 and I have encountered an issue with the beta firmware.

I have attached a video to show the issue, please check it out as I haven't found a solution so far.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

@Ownsin thanks for the report. On the System Information page in the Rapp panel options change the number of retries to 5 and reboot the router. Wait 2 minutes before accessing the interface and trying to load the Rapps. Please see if it works for longer now.

Hello, I did what you asked and it lasted longer when I did that, but eventually it stopped working like in the video.

I think that's something we'll need to continue looking at then, you'll have to reboot it for the moment.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

Alright, I hope you guys fix it in the next update. Speaking about the next update, any idea when will that be? Even as an ETA?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

No ETA at the moment, we're keen to get the DHCP issue fixed so if NG can work that out soon we can include it in the next build, if not we'll get one out as soon as possible.

Just looking at my XR450 with v108 loaded, Ping Heat Map is loading for me:

I'll keep an eye on it to see if this changes over time.

Yeah, that's odd. For me it stops working after a while. The page stops loading for me and I don't know why.

Can you estimate the time frame on how long it takes before it stops working?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR450)

As above, how long does it stop loading for you? In System Information in the Rapp panel options if you change the number of retries from 3 to 5 does that keep it loading for longer?

On the Last test after changing it from 3 to 5 seconds for retries, it took 3 days for it to stop working after the last reboot.
