Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@defiled669 the latest is the one from the start of this topic.

@Dashbord you either have to re-add the device that you've disconnected and give it the same name or do a factory reset. As you haven't yet upgraded to the latest version I'd suggest you upgrade and then do a factory reset.

It says .104 in the top right corner instead of .108 on the screenshot. Where are you trying to add a device exactly?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

When playing call of duty i keep getting server disconnected and its always on the new dumaos 3.0 firmware but not on .66 is there anything that could be causing this issue?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@INZANE nothing specifically would cause that, have you changed any Geo-Filter settings? Do you see anything blocked on the map when you get disconnected?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Hey folks,

Just had my router randomly reboot on its own. Running .108. I checked the logs, but didn't see anything prior to the event, because it cleared it with the restart. Has anyone else experienced it? It is running behind a UPS, so I know there was no drop in power.

@SLeePLatED when the message appeared for the first time was this after flushing/syncing the cloud? Did you do a factory reset after upgrading to the firmware?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

I flush the profile one time then go check it and got error. By the way, I upgrade firmware without factory reset.
Thanks.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@DashbordI have seen this before. This will happen if you have a device registered in your geo filter and subsequently delete the device from device manager without removing the device from your geo filter first. There is no way to amend this without a factory reset. Even if the device is added again by device manager geo filter will continue to give the error and be unusable.

@Netduma-Fraser when deleting an offline device this should also remove it from geo filter and anywhere else it is found e.g. device prioritisation to prevent this problem.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

It's best practise to perform a factory reset after you've upgraded firmware, I would suggest doing this and seeing if this helps.

No, not really. I was instant messanging on my phone, had my desktop idling at steam library screen, and living room tv had YouTube running. I'm keeping an eye on it, hasn't happened again yet.

I've noticed that with this firmware the ping heatmap will randomly stop reponding and not load the page at all until you reboot the router.

OK, and does it present any error message when this happens?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Does it make a difference if we do a software reset vs hardware reset using the pinhole on back of router?

Thanks.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@namsayin I would always recommend doing a software reset unless the software is inaccessible, then you have the hardware reset to fall back on.
