Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108

I would double check with Fraser before downloading version 108.. the link is above!!! Waiting on him to say if it's still safe or not. So please do not download it until he can confirm...

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Hi Fraser,

I'm trying to install the new OS but it keeps telling me the file is corrupt once I transfer it to my drop box?

@Watoshki

We're making good progress with 3.0 for the XR500, namely thanks to beta testers like yourself! I'd stick with the XR500 for now, .108 is still perfectly fine to use, particularly if .114 isn't working for you.

Hi Liam,

Every link I've is saying the files is corrupt. Have any idea what could be causing this?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@JoeFI are you trying to open the file on your PC? If so don't do that, you need to access the router interface and upload it in Settings > Administration > Firmware Update and then you can upgrade.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Is there any way to have my firewall set to strict and so that I can control/configure my own ports..with a open NAT with the speeds that I have..I'm always host during the games.I don't like to be host..uPnP Is always disabled..however, when I do a NAT test on xbox it has NAT opened on my and.. or I get terdo IP address failures... the network test is showing the failure with the game showing moderate.. Is there away to fix this? It would truly be appreciated..I have tired everything... I don't want backdoors effecting my router... please advise. .. thanks

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

The reason I say this... is because upnp is disabled.. I do a network test on the console and it shows open NAT.. I run another test on the console and its saying terdo failures.. however, I'm still able to launch the game. And the game says moderate NAT. This is confusing to me... thanks

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

I ALSO try to ping us servers from the United states in the United states..for example it shows cod severs in texas.. 15ms away..I try to stay on that server..yet the game is always giving me 50-60ms ping for some reason.. when I do a speed test the closest NODE is 7ms away.. what am I doing wrong or missing here.🤔

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Have you changed the NAT option to Open in WAN Settings? If so that's probably why, changing this to secured will stop that and also make the firewall more strict.

Speed test servers show your base ping - the rough ping you have before you do anything on the internet.
Geo-Filter ping shows the ping direct to server.
In game ping includes processing delay from the server so is always higher than the ping shown on the Geo-Filter, it's higher than I would suspect so the server may be under load and it would be beneficial to try and force another server.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Hi Fraser,

Yes I was thanks I've got the download sorted now. I was expecting to have the new features I'm seeing in videos such as being able to ring fence servers and the ping list from all available game servers?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Wan is still strict/secured. I've never touched those settings..what is odd to me is in the console test it shows opened NAT using port 3074.. and in the game test it shows 3075 opened..these should be on the same port... very confusing, especially with UPNP disabled.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@JoeFI what version does it say you're on in the top right of the interface? If it doesn't say then what does it say in System Information?

@Watoshki are you using IPv6? If so you can obtain an open NAT using IPv6 without UPnP/NAT rules.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Yes ipv6 is enabled.. my console never scoops up ipv6 addresses..or it shows on the console that I need to enable it.. I have ipv6 enabled in configuration on the router. When I check ipconfig on PC it shows that I'm pulling ipv6 addresses from my internet provider... I'll disable ipv6 now and see if that changes false NAT.. much appreciated

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

I disabled ipv6 did a soft reboot on the router along with a soft reboot on the console.. I'm still recieving Terdo address errors..the consol is saying to open up a weird port for udp... which is not a basic xbox port from my understanding..the console port is 3074.. the game keeps opening 3075...please advise.. am.I supposed to configure this weird port that the console is displaying for me to open? According to research this is not a xbox port...🤔

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@JoeFI that's the non beta version, here is the latest beta: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mwe5sx81gsc129/XR500-V2.3.2.114-DumaOS3.0.203.img?dl=0

@Watoshki yes that port is fine to open, games often use it such as CoD.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

I have not had internet in 2 days. I finally got it up in running when I updated to .14.. I'm really missing .108.. I guess I'm going to have to order xr1000 with 3.0. I'm going to play around with .14 today.. I really miss .108... who ever coded .108 did a excellent job.. ton of features that I've gotten accustomed to.
