Do you have any wireless e.g. headphones etc or electrical devices within about 3 feet of the router? If so move it away from those if possible as it can interfere with the signal.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

No nothing that would interfere. Everything is the same as always. It must be an issue in firmware as nothing has changed.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

@Dumauser3348493 if you have a look in Settings > Monitoring > Statistics what does status say for WLAN b/g/n?
@PEJMAN I'm not sure I understand, for more security you want to remove the security feature that asks you to log in to the router each time it is accessed?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I had the same issue where my WiFi was giving me horrible speeds and random disconnects. It was on Smart Connect using same SSID’s and I had enable HT160. When doing Speedtest on my iPhone 12 Pro max I can hear coil whine from my router and speeds where 20 down 60 up. I disabled Smart Connect and unchecked enable HT 160 and speeds are back to normal 650 down 600 up and no coil whine. This did not happen on last firmware 108. I also had a problem where QoS Priorities widget wasn’t loading and it said device not found. I tried reverting back to old firmwares and countless Resets and it still didn’t work. My solution was I went in Options and changed retry number from 3 to 5 and rebooted and it’s back working. The best thing to do if you have a problem is to go through the forums and find where people had similar problems and find their solution. You guys have to remember that this is still in BETA and problems are expected. One thing I wish you guys would really fix is the slow menu. Omg this would really be a major fix. Everything seems so sluggish. This has been a problem since the release. Oh and I had one instance where the router completely was unreachable. My computer was showing lan activity but I couldn’t access the router and no internet connectivity. A reboot fixed this and haven’t happened since. Hope this helps someone.

Good job troubleshooting and resolving that!

We are aware that the UI could do with being faster and more responsive, we're working on that for future releases.

Thanks for sharing your experience and resolution.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I don’t think that’s possible.. if you are talking about on guest WiFi network I think they cannot access the router. But on your personal WiFi everyone is connected to LAN. Only thing I suggest is making a strong login password to the router.

@Roy3805

it is what i am talking about security vulnerability via wifi, and there is always a exploit program to accsess the router adminstration, why this option is ON to the wild?

is it not enough access adminstration via wired LAN to PC?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I see what you’re saying now. You want access to the router interface turned off for WiFi and only Wired devices? I’m not sure if there’s an option for that. I would suggest you turn on guest WiFi and connect all of your WiFi devices onto the Guest Network and make sure you have allow guests to see each other and access my local network unchecked. And turn off regular WiFi by unchecking enabled SSID broadcast on both 2.4ghz and 5.0. This should solve your problem.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Or you can always whitelist your devices that you are using on you network and every other device will be blacklisted meaning if the device MAC address is not listed on the whitelist rule you cannot connect to the network. It will be extremely hard to get into your network and making a very strong login username and password will do the trick.

Edit: never mind I don’t see a option to whitelist or blacklist devices. I would suggest making a extremely strong username and password lol

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I'm so tired of these random internet drops in random intervals...I upgraded to .120 hoping it would be resolved but still not.. At least I wasn't facing this issue with build .104 so can any of you provide me the link to download .104..Thank you

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

@Dumauser3348493 Thanks, do you have HT160 enabled as per Roy's comments?
@Roy3805 well done on figuring that out, regarding the slow loading can you clear your web browser cache/cookies, then load each page once, is it faster after that?
@PEJMAN there isn't a way to do that currently, I'm not sure if it's something that will be implemented but maybe @TimChang can take a look at that possibility?
@Nareshak Did you factory reset after upgrading to .120? You can find .104 here? https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-DumaOS-3-0/Latest-firmware-download/m-p/197683...

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I would suggest unchecking the Enable 20/40 MHz Coexistence and try pressing and holding down the WiFi On/Off button on the router itself and let it turn off and then press and hold to turn it back on and then reboot router and see if that option for Enable HT 160 becomes available.

Hi @Netduma-Fraser @Netduma_Alex

I upgraded to .120 from .114,i did the upodate and factory reset as usual, everything is working as intended but now my Geo-Filter does not pick up any servers as apose to .114

Fraser you know im not a noob at this - I removed the device from the Geo-Filter,closed own Call of Duty, checked my Xbox in Device Manager - all is good, added an extra measure and rebooted my router, when it booted up I added the device back to the Geo-Filter,started the game and absolutely nothing comes up,its like Geo-Filter is just taking up space on the XR500,whats the fix for this please gents..?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

I tried the wifi button an reboot. No dice.
So I've reflashed 108 which was the best firmware for me. That option is still disabled on 108. Gonna speed test now on the old firmware
