Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)
You won't be able to open the file, you'll need to upload it to the XR500 to upgrade the firmware.
To do this, access the DumaOS interface via routerlogin.net and do the following:
- Select Settings > Administration > Firmware Update.
- Click the Browse button.
- Find and select the saved firmware file on your computer.
- Click the Upload button.
After you've done this please factory reset the router to ensure you're starting fresh.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)
i was hesitant to install the beta firmware but i've been dealing with a bunch of crashes (that i was blaming on my ISP as most of the time the internet just dropped and i could talk to the router so i thought it had to be the modem/isp) and recently i noticed my 300/30 connection topped out at 150-180/20 so i was getting kinda fed up with the XR500's shenanigans (though at the time i thought my ISP was screwing me over).
decided to install this firmware...best thing i could have done, was planning on trying it assuming it wouldn't change much and then have a angry and unpleasant phone call with the ISP...which was thankfully avoided >.>.
no more crashes, 300/30 connection speed.
it was crashing 1-6 times a day so i figured things can only get better at this point and they did.
had another netgear router like 8 or 10 years ago that probably didn't crash once in those years so i just thought it's impossible that it could be the fancy new router >.>

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)
This latest DumaOS Firmware has many issues . It seems 1 major issue is that the Wifi clients lose internet access at times even though they seem to be connected. When I login to Router , I see that the device Manager tab is hung and takes forever to launch. I end up rebooting the router manually and everything is working again.
Is there a solituion to this ? We have been pateiently waiting for over 3 years for a stablized version of this OS. What is the most reliable and "stable" firmware version for this router.?

When are you seeing the Device Manager take awhile to load, straight after a reboot or when its been on for awhile? What wireless devices disconnect? Are you using Smart Connect? This is the most stable in my opinion, did you factory reset after upgrading?
Device Manager just hangs and I need to reboot router for wifi to actually work again. All wifi devices seem to lose access to internet but show connected.
I am not using Smart connect as I have multiple SSID's. Yes I did a factory reset multiple times after updating to latest dumaos.
