So far this beta version is AMAZING!
I really hope to see a release version this year!
It is so good I actually created this account to rave about it!

We're working on it currently - once we're happy with the state of the firmware after beta we can push publicly

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

That's because InPrivate mode doesn't use cache. For anyone else that has this type of issue, if you hold down Ctrl key and hit F5 (refresh) key, this forces refresh without cache. If page looks good, then go ahead and clear cache in the settings, but this is quick way to test if cache is issue. I think Shift+F5 does the same.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Router keeps rebooting every 30 min why? I have not changed any setting when I installed .120 did factory reset everything you always suggest and now I am having problems for no reason. Unplugged the router modem let it sit for 5 min pressed buttons to drain all power while unplugged and still keeps rebooting. Been on this firmware since release and have not had a problem till now. So what’s going on?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

How did you factory reset after upgrading the firmware, via the interface or using the pinhole on the back?

Are all devices disconnecting, both wired and wireless?

Does the connection restore itself or do you need to manually reboot the XR500?

What the make and model of the modem the XR is connected to?

Pinhole on the back.

Yes everything disconnects cause the router reboots

Connection restores itself.

spectrum modem is technicolor model et2251

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Copy the WAN IP from the XR System Information page and set that as static/reserved on the ET2251 and also put it in the DMZ. Also plug the router directly into a wall outlet if you have it connected to an extender

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Sorry ahead of time if these are dumb questions.

1. Is this firmware the upgrade to DumaOS 3.0 cuz it doesn't really show that anywhere? I would have expected it to actually say that at the top next to the logo.

2. It sounds like this has been out for a while and is pretty stable, is that the case?

Thanks for any help given.

@brat4300 yes it is 3.0 and in my opinion it is the most stable beta update so far

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

So I have tried running the Beta 120 on my router however the connection between the router and an ipad is flaky the picture quality when streaming seems to drop and I seem to get random disconnects.

I rolled back to a previous build and so far the router seems stable.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

@wub901 did you do a factory reset after the upgrade? As that is recommended to ensure no issues are caused by remnants of the previous version

Been using XR500 V2.3.2.114-DumaOS3.0.203 for about a month now, and aside from it displaying a plethora of offline devices constantly on the map that needs to be purged, it's been running without issues.

You're on an older version so would be worth upgrading to .120 and see if that works better

Just updated and reset settings, same issue. It is even detecting the computer I am managing it with as offline...

Offline with a valid active IP address Smiley LOL

Additionally on this version I have around 8 Kasa wifi plugs that are active and working, but not listed at all in the network map.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Do they just extend the WiFi or do they hand out IP addresses? If the former that is normal, they won't appear as they're transparent to the router.

They are switchable electrical outlets, and were visible in the previous beta.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

They may appear but as offline but they certainly won't appear as online as they won't have their own IP address so that's normal

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

Thanks. I was under the impression they extended the WiFi from your description, I've looked at the user guide and understood their purpose now. Looks as though they won't have an active connection all the time which is why they show as offline (it's quite sensitive so will show offline quickly if there is no traffic passing through), if you perform an action on one of them through the app for example I suspect they will reappear on the device manager and appear online for the duration of your interaction and then switch back to offline.

No... Wifi outlet... It is an outlet... With wifi...
https://www.google.com/search?q=wifi+outlet&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS969US969&sxsrf=AOaemvJtwGeBEgubiQisy6vXw...

Performing an action on them was the 1st thing I did, you know, since the router said they no longer existed.. They do exist, and function. outlet.PNG

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.120 (XR500)

They don’t know what they are talking about it’s not in code and it’s to simple for them to understand. Why do you think it takes a year for them or even Netgear for final approval of whatever the F they are doing. Everyone stop buying this product. They will push you to the R2 don’t do it it’s the same problems read the forums. Pandemic or not everyone is working from home now and this crap should be fixed already. FIX THIS ALREADY!
