I have the XR700 router connected via LAG to a Netgear ProSwitch GS110TP which also supports LAG.
I have a USB Hdd connected to router and my WIRED devices are connected to the ProSwitch.
Question:
Will this scenario ONLY see performance increases with data to and from the USB hdd or will I see an increase (even if theortically) in data being sent to/from the internet to the devices connected to the ProSwitch? I.E. will my file download speed from the internet increase? Will I see better response times in traffic to/from my xbox?

In your scenario I believe the benefits will just be with the USB HDD performance. None of the other things you mentioned will be improved.
