Best cable modem for XR1000
I would like to know if a CM2000 would be a good match for my XR1000. Or if I should choose a different model. My ISP is Spectrum Los Angeles. Thank you.

Re: Best cable modem for XR1000
NGs CM1000 would be best since the XR1000 doesn't support a 2.5Gb WAN port or support LAG, which the CM200 support a 2.5Gb WAN port. A CM1100 would be good however this modem support LAG. So the CM1000 would be best fit. First contact your ISP to ensure what modems are supported by your ISP.

Re: Best cable modem for XR1000
Thank you for the reply. Do you think it would make a difference in gaming compared to the cable modem provided by my ISP? Are there any special features that would help the routing or increase the transfer?

Re: Best cable modem for XR1000
My ISP lists CM1000v2 as authorized for the up to 1G tier. How could I get just the v2, I mean is the version listed in the description?

Getting a stand alone modem with out any built in router or wifi would be recommended.
