Firstly, go to Settings > LAN Settings and add a reservation for his device - just use the IP address that it's already been given. Then it should just be a simple case of clicking block on his device in the Device Manager, is that how you've been doing it?

Netduma-Fraser Do I have to go into his computer and add a reservation for the device? I have been going into device manager and clicking block but he is still able to use the wifi/lan.

It's possible when connected via a different method WiFi/LAN that another device is created on the Device Manager that you also need to block. As what could be happening is you've blocked the device when connected to LAN so he then switches to WiFi to get around the block. Double check the Device Manager to see if you recognize all the devices, any you don't or suspect may be your sons then block them.
