Cannot connect XR1000-100CNS Router to Bell Home Hub 4000
I just bought an XR1000 Wi-Fi 6 router and have been trying to connect it to my Bell Home Hub 4000 via a cable that came with the XR1000. The internet would not connect and the "internet" light stays red on the XR1000 unit. I suspect it is the setting in the Bell Hub 4000 that is preventing the signal to go through. Any suggestions?

The Bell home hub is a modem/router combo device.
If you''re wanting to use all the features of the Xr1000, you'd need to put the home home in passthrough mode or put the netgears IP address into the home hubs DMZ.

Thanks. Yeah, I did all that it still shows as no internet on the app.I tried all the different connection options on the app and still cannot get it to work. They are both WiFi 6 units so should be compatible.

I have added the XR1000's MAC address into the HH4000' DMZ list and rebooted the XR1000 but to avail.

What all did you do?
there's multiple things that could be done so saying exactly what you did and how you did it helps.

Re: Cannot connect XR1000-100CNS Router to Bell Home Hub 4000
I went into HH4000, added the MAC of the DMZ. I have since then rebooted the HH4000 modem as well as the XR1000 router and still not working. Please let me know if any additional information that would be helpful.

Re: Cannot connect XR1000-100CNS Router to Bell Home Hub 4000
Thanks. I just got it to work by going through the laptop direct connection to the router. I had originally connected to the router and changed the SSID and admin pw but apparently there is a difference in functionality between the app and the laptop. Much appreciate everybody valuable suggestions. Thank you.
