Cat 5 Connection
All,
Just picked up the router last night and configured it. Updated to the latest FW and all is good...suprisingly good. Really like the NetDuma software and I still need to assign and tweak it, but its reallly good.
Any Netgear techs out there... I noticed when I connected my Cat6 cable into designated port 1 on the back of the router, the status lights on port 4 lights up.
Strangely enough, I thought it was odd that Port 1 was at the farthest end away from ISP connection....anyone else notice this??
TIA

Re: Cat 5 Connection
Thanks!!! Agreed it will not affect any of the router's capabilties, but Netgear should really have better quality control, especially when it comes to simple labeling.

Re: Cat 5 Connection
I can confirm this as well. Just got my XR in today. Connected 1 cable up to Port labeled 1 in back of the router. Farthest away from the WAN port. LED on the front labled 4 is lit up and blinking.
Seems to be either a mis print on the router case or mis-code in the FW.
Router working otherwise.
