Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
I am having a weird issue with my Nighthawk X500 Router. With QoS enabled, the connection will drop randomly. When this happens, I can play with the QoS slider and the connection will come back for a few seconds before dying again. Connection will drop on all ports and wifi. This doesn't happen at all with QoS disabled.
Anyone experience this?

Re: Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What devices are you using when the connection drops?

Re: Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
Hi there - this is very unusual. What mode is your Anti-Bufferbloat set to when these drops occur?
What is your total bandwidth? How much are you reducing the sliders to?

Re: Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
Cable Modem to Router. One PC plugged into router. Everything else is wireless.
No PPPoE or VLAN.

Re: Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
Ensure cable between ISP Modem and router is of good quality. CAT6 is recommended.
You might manually downgrade to v32, factory reset, power OFF the ISP Modem for 30 seconds then back on. After setting up minimal router settings, run a wired PC speed test with a PC and check speeds.

Re: Connection Dies Randomly With QoS Enabled
Here's the link to the previous firmware: https://kb.netgear.com/000060127/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-3-2-32
Could you downgrade back to this and see how it performs there. Thanks
