Dos Attacks on port 50002 new facts
hi friends! i am for a long time now on the hunt for what causes these constant dos attacks from various abusive ips on port 50002.
there are doesns of topics out there refering to that issue. the awnser is always false positive. unfortunately these discussions are all closed so i have to open a new one.
im refering to :https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/DoS-attacks-escalating-Any-solution-or-possible-reason/m-p/183...
or: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/DOS-attack-from-Germany-now/m-p/1828474#M76564
the main problem still exists! these loggs appear all day ally night.
it is not true that this is natural background internet radiation! (what some people try to tel us...)
i found a program that actually uses this specific port! it is called discord. yes discord my friends!
when i block these port oder portrange than i am not able to start a voice conversation in discord. discord says "no route".
the question now is if discord causes these (in this case) false positives from various abusive marked carryer ips.
or are these dos attack reports actual attacks targeted on these possibly open ports which discord also uses?
my question for you is how manny of you use discord and get those loggs and especially how many of you never used discord and get those atacks???
best wishes! stay healthy! have fun and so on...
