HYBRID VPN XR1000 Any Update?
I've seen a couple posts on this already but they seem to be quite old. Is there any update whether this will make it into the next update? If not I'm going to return this router and get XR500 again
How long will it take to fix this bug approxiametly? Is this the only problem or are there more problems to fix??
It's hard to say, it's something that's occurring more on NETGEAR's side of the software so we've given them all information available and they're now working on fixing it. I'm afraid I don't know how long this will take.
As far as I'm aware, all remaining problems are fairly minor so we'll be fixing them in the mean time.

Thanks for all the updates Liam. Understand that you don't have a detailed view on what's going on at Netgear side of testing. Is there no one from that Netgear team in this thread? If not would be good to loop someone in here. I'm in general very curious to understand when this release including VPN is coming and what other fixes are part of that release.
In all honesty I have to say I'm disappointed with my purchase due to all the different bugs (not all duma related) that are still there. I though I bought a flagship router but feels like a beta sometimes.
I'm not entirely sure at this moment in time, previously there were a couple people from the NETGEAR team who would check through the support forum but I'm not sure how that's changed currently.
The issue of Hybrid VPN to the XR1000 is a little more complex, there are some very low-level compatibility issues here that have prevented us from getting Hybrid VPN on there sucessfully. We are still working on it when possible, though I don't have any estimate as to when that might come out.
- Are you guys still working on it?? Can someone from the netgear team give us some more information about the new firmware update PLEASE?
We are waiting more than a year without knowing anything. It would be appreciated if someone from the netgear team can react to these answers. I can understand that, I'll speak with the team and get the question raised in the next meeting!
- When is the next meeting? Still no updates for the xr1000 this is getting more and more hilarious.
- I'm not certain but it may be next week. I know getting an update out for the 1000 is a priority.

There's been some complications with the XR1000 recently, hence why there's been a delay. We've been working on a really tight deadline to get a new firmware prepared for it so hopefully it won't be much longer before NETGEAR can release one.
