Not working or now working?
It always helps to use language that people can understand.Only then can people understand what is going on, and weed out user error from a genuine technical problems.

But I really doubt the quality of NETGEAR, since it is broken after upgrading the firmware

If you do the Benchmark test and post the results it will help us determine what exactly the issue could be

Re: Help, the XR700 upgrade version cannot be online
Yeah the internet appears fine there. Do any of your devices connected to the router work? On a PC connected to the router open command prompt, type ipconfig and press enter then post the results. Also in the same window type ping 8.8.8.8 -n 10 press enter then post the results.

Do a Connection Benchmark test please and provide a screenshot of the results - you can find it on the interface.

Re: Help, the XR700 upgrade version cannot be online
The Arris CM280A (there, it wasn't that hard was it?) is a standard modem-only cable modem. No router to get in the way.
Could have ruled out a lot of questions had you mentioned it, as requested, earlier on.
It dates back to 2011, according to the label. Bit ancient.

Re: Help, the XR700 upgrade version cannot be online
Okay that won't be it. I think you may have a faulty router if other routers are working with that modem. You could try reupgrading the firmware using TFTP which could help if the issue was in the boot sequence.
